Italian Purple is easy to grow and have a long storage life. They have an extremely high productive rate and yield very large bulbs. With a pleasantly mild taste! One of garlic planters favorite, because they adapt well to any climate and thrive well in a wide variety of soils. 8-10 cloves per bulb. Early to mid harvest. Stores up to 10 + months. It is a Softneck Garlic, excellent for braiding!

Storage: Garlic should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct light. Do NOT store in the refrigerator! Keep in a paper bag or closed cardboard box inside a cabinet in the coolest part of your house. Garlic will keep drying out the longer it is stored. This will make it lighter, the bulbs less dense, and even hotter and stronger. But eventually it will dry out beyond functional use, and may even rot or mold. Most of our Garlics were fully cured by the end of September, and thus their “shelf life” began. In prime conditions they should store six months or more.
